'Fighting for Life' is an emotional and inspiring 90 minute portrait of American military medicine interweaving three stories:

- Military doctors, nurses and medics, fighting to save lives and limbs in the vortex of the Iraq War, working with incredible skill, compassion and dedication.
- Students at USU, the 'West Point' of military medicine, on the challenging journey toward becoming career military physicians.
- Young wounded soldiers and marines, displaying courage, dignity and determination to survive, heal, and triumph over life-altering injuries.
