Captain
Dye served in
Vietnam
in 1965 and 1967 through 1970, surviving 31 major combat
operations. He
emerged from
Southeast Asia
with numerous decorations, including a Bronze Star for valor
and three Purple Heart medals for wounds suffered in combat.
Following his retirement from the military, Captain
Dye worked for Soldier
of Fortune magazine before leaving for
Hollywood
.
In
the last 20-plus years, Captain Dye has appeared in more
than 60 movies and television programs, including Saving
Private Ryan and The
Great Raid and
Platoon. Moreover,
as the founder and principal of Warriors, Inc., Captain Dye
also provides technical advisory services to the
entertainment industry worldwide, including performer
training, research, planning, staging and on-set advisory
for directors and other key production personnel.
