The
GI Film Festival is pleased to announce that actor Stephen
Baldwin has joined the festival line-up.
Baldwin
is a lead actor in the film “The Flyboys,” which make
its East Coast Premier at the GI Film Festival on Friday,
May 2, 2008. He
will attend the screening as well as a number of other
festival screenings and events.
The
Flyboys tells the story of Jason and
Kyle, recent friends from different sides of the tracks, who
become embroiled in the adventure of their lives when they
stow away aboard an airplane owned by the mob.
Inspired by one of the boys’ grandfathers, a
veteran of World War II, they learn the value of never
leaving a friend behind.
Baldwin
plays mobster Silvio Esposito.
The
youngest of the Baldwin brothers acting clan, Baldwin is one
of the few
Hollywood
actors versatile enough for key roles in everything from The
Usual Suspects to Bio-Dome.
A Massapequa, NY
native, he gained notice in his teens as a successful opera
singer before pursuing acting at the American Academy of
Dramatic Arts. Before
long, he was busy with roles in both film (Posse,
8 Seconds, A Simple Twist of Fate) and television (The Young Riders).
Equally adept at drama and comedy,
Baldwin
has appeared in over 60 films and been featured on such
top-rated television shows as Fear
Factor, Celebrity Mole, and Celebrity
Apprentice. He
has his own production company that is developing projects
for television and the big screen.
Baldwin
is also director, co-producer and host of Livin'
It - a cutting-edge documentary on the world of
Christian extreme sports athletes, and author of the book The
Unusual Suspects.
