JAG’s Karri Turner Joins Festival

The GI Film Festival is pleased to announce that Karri Turner, best known for her role as Lt. Harriet Sims on the CBS hit series "JAG,” has joined the GI Film Festival.  Turner will serve on the festival’s Entertainment Advisory Committee while also participating in GI Film Festival 2008, to be held Armed Forces Weekend at the Carnegie Institute for Science in Washington , D.C.

 

In addition to serving nine years on “JAG,” Turner appeared in a recurring role on FOX-TV's "The X-Files" as Tara Scully, Dana Scully's (Gillian Anderson) sister-in-law.  Additionally, she portrayed Eric Lutz's assistant, Honey Potts, on the NBC-TV's hit series "Caroline in the City."

Other television credits include guest-starring roles in NBC-TV's “Heroes, "Suddenly Susan," and FOX-TV's "Wild Oats.”  Her stage credits include "Cereal," "Charlie's Aunt," "As You Like It," "Merchant of Venice," "Amadeus," "Godspell," "Talking With," "Hamlet," "South Pacific" and "Hay Fever."  

 

In addition to her successful acting career, Karri is a passionate supporter of our men and women in uniform.  She just finished her 6th USO tour and has had the privilege of visiting our troops in Baghdad , Balad, Tikrit , Kuwait , Bagram, Kandahar , Uzbeckistan and South Korea .  Karri has also visited our nation’s wounded warriors at Walter Reid Military hospital in Washington DC.
