Hollywood Director John Dahl Joins GI Film Fest The
GI Film Festival, which will be held on Memorial Day Weekend at the Ronald
Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, DC, welcomes
acclaimed Director John Dahl to the festival’s Hollywood Advisory
Committee.
Dahl
is the award-winning director of the World War II film The Great Raid,
“the stirring true story of one of the most spectacular rescue missions
ever to take place in American history: ‘the great raid on Cabanatuan,’
the daring exploit that would liberate more than 500 U.S. Prisoners of War
in the face of overwhelming odds.”
A
graduate of Montana State University and a student of the prestigious
American Film Institute, Dahl has directed feature films, including Red
Rock West (Nicholas Cage, Lara Flynn Boyle), Rounders (Matt
Damon, Ed Norton), Unforgettable (Ray Liotta, Linda Fiorentino),
and The Last Seduction (Linda Fiorentino, Bill Pulman).
