The GI Film Festival, which will be held on Memorial Day Weekend 2007 at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, DC, is pleased to announce that decorated military veteran, actor, and military technical advisor Captain Dale Dye has joined the GI Film Festival.  Captain Dye will participate in the festival’s “Hollywood and the Military” panel discussion.

Captain Dye served in Vietnam in 1965 and 1967 through 1970, surviving 31 major combat operations.  He emerged from Southeast Asia with numerous decorations, including a Bronze Star for valor and three Purple Heart medals for wounds suffered in combat.  Following his retirement from the military, Captain Dye worked for Soldier of Fortune magazine before leaving for Hollywood.
