Executive
Producer Lou Reda Joins Festival
Arlington,
VA – The GI Film Festival is pleased to announce that executive producer
Lou Reda, founder of Lou Reda Productions, has joined the GI Film Festival
(GIFF), which will be held Memorial Day Weekend 2007 at the Ronald Reagan
Building and International Trade Center in Washington, DC.
Mr. Reda is scheduled to participate in a festival panel discussion
and to screen one of his documentary films.
He has also joined the GIFF Hollywood Advisory Committee. For
more than thirty years, Lou Reda has been the man “writing the book”
for TV documentary production. In
producing more than 500 outstanding shows, Mr. Reda can claim that his
work has been seen and enjoyed by an international audience approaching
half the population of the earth.
Mr.
Reda’s films, which can be seen on the History Channel, A&E, and the
Biography Channel, among other networks, have won numerous awards,
including five CINE Golden Eagle Awards, two TELLY awards, a Peabody
Award, a People’s Choice Award and many more.
In 2005 alone, Reda Films earned three Emmy Award nominations,
including a nomination for “outstanding editing” for the hard-hitting
documentary Eyewitness in Iraq. For
