Comedian Jeff Ross to Screen Film “Patriot Act”

 

The GI Film Festival, which will be held on Memorial Day Weekend 2007 at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington , DC , announced today that comedian Jeff Ross has joined the festival line-up.  Ross will his film, “Patriot Act,” a feature documentary that captures Ross’s life changing experience entertaining U.S. troops stationed around Iraq. 

 

Ross’s film Patriot Act, billed as “the funniest movie to come out of Iraq ,” also stars Drew Carey (The Drew Carey Show, Whose Line is It Anyway?), Blake Clark (Waterboy, Home Improvement), and Kathy Kinney (The Drew Carey Show), in addition to comedians Kyle Dunnigan, Andres Fernandez, and Rocky Laporte.

 

As a stand-up comic, Ross has appeared on dozens of TV shows including David Letterman, Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel, Conan O'Brien, Carson Daly, ABC's The View, and HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher.

 

As “Roastmaster General” for the Friars Club, Ross has “roasted” numerous mega-stars including Hugh Hefner, Pamela Anderson, Donald Trump, Jerry Stiller, Drew Carey, and Shaquille O'Neal.  Ross will also star in the upcoming ABC reality television series The Next Best Thing: Who Is the Greatest Celebrity Impersonator.

 

In addition to his work in television, Ross also continues to perform regularly for American men and women in uniform stationed all over the world -- including the Hurricane Katrina relief effort in New Orleans and Mississippi .
