George Hill and Carleton Griffin were both homeless for over 35 years combined. These men are war veterans, scarred and troubled by memories of human carnage and blood.  Returning home from war and service they found themselves without proper job skills, addicted to drugs and with no shelter but the open air of the L.A. streets.

But today they are living miracles; examples that men even in the greatest depths of despair can emerge redeemed.  Together they are members of the New Directions Choir, a group composed entirely of formerly homeless recovered addict war veterans.  They sing without request for compensation, they rehearse after working long hours, and together they help each other maintain focus through their post-recovery period.  Slowly but surely they are reconstructing their lives, using music as a means to find hope and faith through the notes of a song.
